Guide: set up Luna in 10 minutes for your industry

Luna is designed to be operational immediately. Here's how to go from zero to your first alert in 10 minutes.

Minute 1-2: Create your account

1. Click "Start free trial" on luna.renactech.com

2. Enter your email and choose a password

3. You're logged in instantly (no email confirmation)

Minute 3-4: Add your competitors

1. Go to the "Competitors" tab

2. Click "Add a competitor"

3. Enter the name, website, and description

4. Choose the geographic scope (local, national, regional, international)

5. Repeat for 2-3 main competitors

Minute 5-6: Configure your sources

1. Go to Settings > Sources

2. The 6 default sources are already enabled

3. Enable additional sources relevant to your industry:

- SaaS/Tech: Product Hunt, GitHub, npm, Stack Overflow

- Finance: SEC EDGAR, Crunchbase

- Healthcare: PubMed, FDA, ANSM

- Industrial: patents USPTO/EPO, arXiv

Minute 7-8: Choose your AI engine

1. Go to Settings > AI Engine

2. Choose "Auto" (recommended) or your preference

3. Optional: add your own API key for cost control

Minute 9-10: Launch your first scan

1. Return to the Dashboard

2. The next automatic scan is within 6 hours

3. For immediate results: click "Scan now" on a competitor

4. Your first alerts arrive in 30-60 seconds

After setup

  • Scans repeat automatically every 6 hours
  • Set up webhooks for Slack/Teams notifications
  • Upload your internal documents for cross-referencing
  • Generate your first battlecard
